An eco friendly resort
THE RUDRAKSH's eco practices and how life of local community is affected by its actions:
One of the things that attracted my attention the most was the fact that they make a point of providing employment to the villagers, including women..!! In addition, many items produced in the local community are sold at a store within the resort.This encourages interaction among owners, villagers and guests in many ways..!!
In relation to water conservation, some actions are carried out rigorously. All laundry service is not done every day in order to save water effectively. There are even kind warnings in the rooms so that guests understand that it is not necessary to change/wash bed linen daily. To maximize care, rainwater is harvested for irrigation of vegetable gardens and flower beds, and for greater use in other sectors of the resort.
The use of plastic has already been minimized. Inside the rooms, our water is in glass bottles that are freely supplied with the best quality water that goes through a filtering process. It should be remembered that THE RUDRAKSH is nestled in the middle of a forest, in a village high in Himalayan mountains where water is not an item easily available. Resources must be saved..!! Plastic cutlery, crockery, cups and glasses are also not available there.
All wet waste goes to the compost pit. The collected garbage is transported to the city of Rishikesh for the correct destination. Garbage cans are being installed in surrounding area, as well as friendly warnings so that the village's garbage is not thrown into nature. There is an ongoing effort to make all mountain dwellers aware of the need to avoid pollution and waste.
Finally, something that also caught my attention is that there is no vehicle circulation inside the resort to avoid any trace of pollution. Cars that take guests up the mountain are parked at the end of the paved road. A path takes us to THE RUDRAKSH... a short rustic, beautiful hike, full of trees and the scent of herbs and mountains' flowers. As we walk there, we can find shepherds with their goats, cows and mules with bells around their necks warning that they are passing by too..!! Gradually, the landscape unfolds and THE RUDRAKSH appears in front of our eyes, like magic, with open arms to welcome everyone who wants an incredible experience full of comfort, peaceful moments and a reunion with their essence..!!

Making your heart sing
My idea of a whole day of activities to make your heart sing:
In the morning you wake up to the sound of Himalayan birds. Smile, take your tea and go out on the balcony. All beauty of the colors of dawn is the backdrop of the scenario that awaits you... clouds and mountains dance for you changing the landscape as in a theater play. After a rich breakfast, you can choose a place for your meditation. One of several options is the Shiva Mandir (Agaan Temple) at the top, after a pleasant 20-minute walk. A stunning scenery awaits you there.
In the afternoon, after your delicious lunch and rest, you can watch the birds, take pictures, walk along the various paths full of pine trees, plants and flowers. Go visit the villages and chat with friendly people who will always offer you tea and more smiles. If you enjoy exciting adventures, ask the staff to organize sports activities at Lake Tehri, located a few kilometers away.
In the late afternoon, you can walk back to the top and enjoy the sunset that insists on painting the clouds orange, pink and salmon. The light between treetops, delicious snacks and high tea served there add to the magic of the moment.
Later, you might want to marvel at the play of light on the brand new Dobra Chanti bridge over Lake Tehri, a 40-minute drive away. Along the way, the bridge reveals itself at every turn, adorned by the lights of villages, which make the mountains look like a starry sky.
In the evening, after a comforting dinner, warm your body and heart by a beautiful campfire. Enjoy the silence of mind that is only broken by the cracking of wood and the mesmerizing snaking of flames. Depending on circumstances, there will be singing, dancing and good conversation.

Living pleasures slowly and mindfully
THE RUDRAKSH is filled with sacred paths. At its center, its own temple is lovingly maintained and always surrounded by flowers.
In the dining hall facing the mountains, body, mind and spirit are fed with delicious, carefully prepared dishes, and with the amazing landscape that generously spreads out in front of us.
Breakfast is presented with the precious colors of dawn, which continue to change until dinner time. So the moon, in all its phases, also comes to participate in these rich moments.
There are also smiles everywhere, the pleasure to serve you well and the legitimate desire for you to have peaceful and unforgettable moments.
These are pleasures to be savored slowly...
There are many more beauties hidden in the surroundings of THE RUDRAKSH. In pleasant walks along the various hikes, the exuberant nature is revealed. Different scents of green along the way enchant and bring back memories... sun's rays playing in the treetops are pure poetry and redesign your day.
Light is different in this magical place.
Time passes more slowly.

There are several paths that take you to the top of the mountain. 360° of splendor awaits you there after a 20-minute walk. Magnificent sunsets complement your experience. The gentle breeze and blessed solitude invite you to meditate in the beautiful temple of Shiva that remains there, celebrating life.

The five elements’ dance
Everything I do in life I learned from Hindu culture. India is the sacred cradle of all my work with Yoga, Meditation, Mahalila, Ayurveda, Astrology... Thus, through knowledge and deep perception of the five great elements' dynamics, their magic dance in front of my eyes becomes evident... the mysterious dance that follows - fluid, ethereal, lovely - filling all spaces with divine perfection.
Everything fills me with enchantment and inspiration.
Purity of the air supports the flight of countless birds that talk to you all the time and fill this place with joy with their magnificent song. This is the air I breathe. This is the air that heals the physical and emotional body. This is the air that makes my soul even lighter.
Blessed are earth and water that make beautiful flowers of all colors grow, bringing sweeteness to the eyes and heart. The immensity made of sunflowers guides you through all paths of THE RUDRAKSH. Earth and water also allow for the cultivation of almost all succulent vegetables that go into the kitchen and provide us with wonderful meals.
Fire is heat and light. I feel this element being expressed through the generosity and love with which the whole team is always ready to assist you, so that you lack nothing and you have the most adorable and comfortable experience of your life!

Mountains asked me to stay
My stay at THE RUDRAKSH was part of a trip with the group I took to India together with my ex-partner in September-October/2022. She returned to Brazil with the group. I couldn't get back. Something there called me and I decided to stay longer. So I stayed a month longer..!!
At THE RUDRAKSH I found the magic I had been looking for... for a long time. Every day, from the balcony of my room, I had the magnificent view of the snowy peaks of the Himalayas, the mountains that dwell in my heart...
THE RUDRAKSH invites you to constantly listen to your heart's call. It incites you to desire to transmute your routine and live the subtleties of your being. This place makes you immerse yourself in all beauty of the essence of your existence. When I entered this magnificent portal for the first time, I could feel my senses being refined. The great reunion with my sacred was already waiting for me.
THE RUDRAKSH is beautifully surrounded by the magic of Himalayan mountains. Here in this paradise nestled in the middle of a seductive greenery full of magnificent trees, on top of a mountain, wherever you look, sublime details capture your attention and intensify your immersion in peace. From early morning until dusk, Divinity draws the sky with precious strokes and magnificent colors, bringing you that glorious sense of belonging. At nightfall, the lights of the villages turn into constellations on the ground of the mountains and are a spectacle apart. Silence and stillness invite you to the most intense interiorization.
From my room, I witness the affection with which clouds embrace mountains. And they return so much love with wide smiles scratched in the soil, like roads. Down there, I can see how the water serpent observes everything and shines in so many tones... It's silver when the day comes. It's emerald and blue in the course of hours. Later, it is the color of a new moon night.
Waters, mountains and clouds present themselves on their stage without expectations, without haste. These are touching moments for body, mind and soul...
From the bottom of my heart, something very special beautifully represents THE RUDRAKSH: the seas of clouds. The transcendental images of the clouds arriving softly, filling spaces, covering and discovering the water mirror and the mountains are divine gifts that will stay forever in my heart. This white magic takes many forms and you never get tired of contemplating such beauty.

RUDRAKSH, a tear of Shiva in its most literal meaning... I allowed myself such tears of enchantment and joy upon learning of the miracle... the manifestation of a great dream dreamed grandly by its founder, Mahesh Tewari. I opened myself completely and allowed myself to feel the music that wells up from the silence and from each special piece of ground in this sacred place...the melody that aligns with the garden of my heart.
